freecell crashes my ubuntu netbook
Asked by

I run ubuntu on my Eee PC netbook. Often (but not always) dragging a card in freecell crashes my system. I have to use the on/off button to turn my computer off, and reboot. I have the latest versions of ubuntu and gnome. I have the same set up on my desktop, but freecell does not ever crash my desktop system.
PS. I went to /var/crash but it was empty.
PPS I googled around and saw several bug reports involving freecell crashes going back to 2006. Virtually all were dodged (gnome guys saying it was a game issue, game guys saying it was an X-window issue, etc.),
