How do I configure my bluetooth dongle to work on my Mini 9 ?

I bought a Dell Mini 9 with Ubuntu, and did not get the bluetooth option. I bought a Kensington bluetooth USB adapter, it came with a CD (for windows only). Ubuntu does not detect the bluetooth adapter, how do I get the system to identify it? I am trying to use it to pair up to a mouse and my cell phone.

Jason,

Most Bluetooth dongles will work out of the box in Ubuntu. You can try pressing the "Fn" and "2" keys simultaneously several times, they act as a switch to turn on Bluetooth and Wifi and cycle through different states. Wait a few seconds between each keypress and the Bluetooth icon should appear in your top panel.

To be able to send us the lsusb output, you need to open terminal, by going to Applications > Accessories > Terminal, then simply typing "lsusb" and "Enter". Then select the output and copy it, then paste it here in a comment.

On another matter, now that the bluetooth adapter works, I have paired it up with a blue tooth mouse and that works also, I tried pairing it up to my cell phone and it said the pairing was successful, but how do I access the internet through this pairing?

I purchased Dell mini 9 with factory internal bluetooth option in October 2008. Now for the first time I am trying to use the bluetooth and can't find it. Does the internal bluetooth shows up in lsusb command? If you have a internal bluetooth can you try lsusb command?

If I do lsusb, I get

It turned out that the bluetooth was disabled in BIOS and that's why I could not find.
