Add translation group to Chromium

Asked by Kjetil Birkeland Moe

Please add group https://launchpad.net/~lp-l10n-no to organize translations for Chromium (https://translations.launchpad.net/chromium-browser/) for languages 'Norwegian Bokmål' and 'Norwegian nynorsk'.

I just created this group to be able to do the translations for Chromium, therefore it still lacks group members. I will invite people shortly.

I am also translation admin for Norwegian bokmål for Ubuntu linux.

Hi Kjetil,

Thanks for creating the Launchpad Norwegian Translators team. The team page looks good to me, and I'd only like to comment on a couple of points:

* Guidelines. The team should have a set of translation guidelines. This can be arranged after the team has been accepted, but it is a requirement.

-- I can see that there are several links on the team page, but I'm not sure which ones are the guidelines, and if they apply to either Bokmal or Nynorsk. If you could please tell me more about this, I'll link to them when appointing the team for each language.

* As a team coordinator, we (or new translators) might have to contact you, so it would be advisable to have a stable e-mail address visible to logged-in Launchpad users. Do you think you could deactivate the "Hide my email addresses from other Launchpad users" checkbox from https://launchpad.net/people/+me/+edit ? Again, this address will only be visible to logged-in users in Launchpad.

If you could address or comment on these points, then we'll be happy to appoint the lp-l10n-no team so that you can start translating straight away.

Thanks!

Regards,
David.

P.S. As a side note, if the people translating Ubuntu are also going to want to translate other applications in Launchpad, you can simply add ubuntu-l10n-no as a subteam to lp-l10n-no

David,

thanks for pointing this out - I have not been involved in the creation of
such a group before.

Link [1] in the list are guidelines, they apply to both Bokmål and Nynorsk.

I have reenabled display of my e-mail address, as you asked.

Thanks Kjetil for addressing these points.

I've now appointed the lp-l10n-no team as responsible for the translations of Norwegian Bokmal and Norwegian Nynorsk of projects hosted in Launchpad using the Launchpad Translators group.

If you are not already, I'd recommend subscribing to the launchpad-translators mailing list by joining the open team in Launchpad to stay up to date with all announcements related to Launchpad Translations and the translatable projects there.

So that's it, happy translating!
