How do I get Me TV to use my DVB-S Card?

Me TV 0.6.0 to Me TV 0.7.16 did not have DVB-S support. DVB-S is now working in Me TV 0.8.0.
DVB-S support in Me TV 0.5 is very minimal and I'm not adding any more code to the 0.5 series, only bug fixes. People are welcome to submit patches against 0.5 but my primary development focus is on 0.8.
The scanner in 0.5 is quite poor and does not work well for DVB-S. It is suggested that you run the scan command to generate the channels.conf file and put that file at ~/.me-tv/
