Var like CVs in file

Is it possible to put var in file like CVS ?

ie
# $Id: my_file,v 1.6 2004/10/16 22:03:30 myname Exp $

If this is a question about Bazaar, it does not currently support keywords. The Bazaar developers recommend using your build process to do this kind of insertion, using the version-info command.

Ian Clatworthy has recently done some work to add support for keywords, but it's not yet complete.
