Support for other environments than GNOME

Asked by Jonathan Jesse

Is this a GNOME (nautilus) only or is there going to a KDE app? Also what other operating systems will you support other than Ubuntu? If none then this is not going to replace dropbox for a lot of people

Currently we have only done Gnome integration, although we will have similar integration for KDE. I believe a port to Windows or OS X of the sync client would be pretty easy, and I would definitely give support and encouragement to anyone working on that, but it's not part of our roadmap right now.

I have tried installation of the client on XFCE (Xubuntu 9.04) and the installation was pretty flawless. XFCE is pretty similar to GNOME so maybe it had to work.

So would you add some suggestions for Kubuntu users in the FAQ? 'Wait', or 'move ahead with these warnings'..Etc.. I just know as a Kubuntu user, I don't want/need Gnome running just to do Dropbox..

Can you help with this problem?
