Why can't I see the Ubuntu One applet in my panel?

If you can see the Ubuntu One applet at first but then it disappears, this is the expected behavior. The applet is setup to only show when there is activity. For more information on future development of the Ubuntu One applet, please see https:/
If you never see the Ubuntu One applet in your panel, try the following steps:
1) Right click on the top panel and select "Add to Panel..."
2) Type in "Notification Area" into the search box
3) Select "Notification Area"
4) Click "Add"
5) Click "Close"
If this does not solve your problem, please file a bug report.
