Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better. Examining the information you have given us, this does not appear to be a bug report so we are closing it and converting it to a question in the support tracker. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but it would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu if you are uncertain if they are bugs. For help on reporting bugs, see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#When%20not%20to%20file%20a%20bug.

Right click on package>extract here and you should see folder with same name as package.See if you can find install file or read me file inside that folder with instructions how to install package.

My friend Derrek just told me the same thing. Thank you. Although I'm not
gonna do it on my cpu. I'm just trying to help a friend that uses facebook.
personally, facebook is a nuisance and likes to violate our rights to
privacy. But my friend, she likes the facebook thing. I told her she's
better off and much safer just leaving here house unlocked all the time with
a big sign out front that says: "Take any right. I don't need them anymore."
Then I told her I would gladly fix it for her. it has an .so, I will copy it
into my mozilla plug-in folder 1st to make sure I do it right. then I will
delete it from my pc. go to her house and get her pc right. thanks again.

I'm just having trouble finding the .mozilla/plugins in my directory. that
is where I'm supposed to copy the .so file.
