Ubuntu 9.04 installation fail on a pc with nvidia 6200

i dowloaded an burnet an verified the 9.04 but I have the same problem i do with the pervious one it just wont install.

I get no farther then the splash screen before it dumps. I am guessing it has too do with my video card an nividia 6200. is there a easy too understand work around too get it too install?

This problem prevented me from using 8 i was really hopeing would be fixed now but i dont see any work around any help would be apperciated.

also I am downloading 6.06 an going too try too install it maybe if it works installing it then using the update feture an update 6 too 9?

Please tell what you mean with fail...?
Please be more specific do you mean you cannot get graphic login or you get other install errors...
Are you using the Ubuntu 9.04 desktop install cd 32 bit... ?

it gets too the portios of install with line going back an forth then the solid line starts crossing gets 25% an then drops too command prompt an instilation is aborted...

using an install cd wich i burnt an verified.

Please tell...

Have made the install cd rom by yourself...?
Have you checked the md5sum of the iso image before burning it to the cd at lower speed your device is able to do...?
Have you verified the destination pc RAM memory using the "memory test" item booting form the Ubuntu deskto 32 bits live cd ?

done all that as a matter of fact everything there cheks out. Using teh 32 bit cd.

Once i took out teh nvdia video card the instilation was perfect.

Matter of fact am using it now with the junk on board video card.

I tride too put back the nvidia video card after i let the os run for 12 hours while i messed with the os an installed varius packages.

OS Wouldnt even boot up. take the nvidia vido card out an starts running right away.

So am guessing its a problem with the vid card

checked iso image

burnt ad quad speed

verified my ram.

Please tell so you have installed your os... now and is the Ubuntu 9.04 do you have updated and upgraded it...?

Please try envy to install your nvidia card.

thanks for the help guys do apperciate this. i have looked through all the old posts as was sugjested no dice. I tride the instlation of teh nvidia drivers but sence teh vido card isnt instralled it errors out. with this error...

I am positive it is due too the fact the video card isnt installed. is there a way too run the nvidia driver probram in command line from boot up maybe bypassing the graphics mode?

when i try too start the os with the video card in i get a large laundery list of unable too execute stuff.

Fixed I didnt see it until today that 9.1 was in beata later too be released later this month. Upgraded too it installed the video card an system booted up I folled the above thread on installing the nvidia drivers an everything worked like it should.
