Asked by Shnureaga

i can't get 3D working in Ubuntu 9.04
laptop Packard Bell Easynote MZ35 with Radeon Xpress 200M
i can't install Envy - Envy don't appear in the menus and the text user interface don't make the deal
i can't install Ati drivers from the official site - i mean i can install them but after using them i get blank screen

the message from which i understand that i don't have 3D is from the game Chess - if i try to enable 3D visuals i got the message:

Unable to enable 3D mode
You are unable to play in 3D mode due to the following problems:
No Python OpenGL support
No Python GTKGLExt support

Please contact your system administrator to resolve these problems, until then you will be able to play chess in 2D mode.
