Downloaded fantasy football software but cant access it

Asked by Amy Beck

This is the first time I've tried to download anything on my mini. I've had a windows laptop for years but thought I'd try something different.

I know the download is complete, the message box saying so was in the lower left corner. 'When I try to open the downloaded file I'm lost.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Where did you download the "football fantasy software" you mentioned from? Could you please give me a link so that I can have a look at the installation instructions?

Is the software you have downloaded for windows? Unless it says otherwise it probably is.

If so there are two options

1. Install virtual box, install windows inside it then install the software

2. Try installing in Wine

Option 1 will always work but needs a licensed copy of windows

Option 2 is a bit more hit and miss. Its not guaranteed to work but may and if it does its free

What is the name and location of the install application you have downloaded?
Did you check the appdb for compatibility?
Can you give the output of:

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy wine

Thanks

Can you help with this problem?
