How Can A Skin Load Automatically For VLC ?

Asked by taurus

I downloaded a skin for my VLC. The only way I can view the skin is to load it manually. How can I get the skin to view automatically in place oft the default skin?

You need to to go
Settings - Preferences - Interface - Main Interface
Select Skinnable Interface
save then quit :-)

Jad thank you so much for your answer, that did the trick. One more question I have is, how can I quickly load a movie into the new skinned interface? Before with the default skin, I was able to drag and drop a movie in vlc and it would play automatically. But, after I switched to the new skin, I'm unable to do that. Any suggestions?

Taurus,
I'm not sure maybe such drop-drag feature is skin feature rather than VLC, tell me which skin do you have now? please provide the URL of the new skin, I'll test it and get back to you

Hi, Jad. I'm using the alternative default skin. It loads automatically but I can't drag and drop files into it. I've also tried to drag and drop with other skins and it doesn't work. Any ideas?

I just tried it and I can drop-drag to VLC play list but not to its main window my guess its skin based feature.
