VLC for Android - missing controls

Asked by kpx1894

All overlay controls disappeared when I started playing some video in VLC. Now they are missing even when I try to play another video which played previously without any issues. It does not seem to be related to an VLC upgrade or any other change to the phone. I rebooted the phone and deleted all VLC data, but with no success.

In current state I am able to use swipe controls to control volume, brightness and rewind/fast forward, but *not* jump to the position using bottom bar (nor lock, etc.). After resetting settings I can see initial "help" overlay, but after it disappears there is only video + text messages about position/volume/brightness changes.

My question is: Is there any other location (then default application data and cache) where VLC might be storing some settings which I could try to remove to restore VLC back to its initial state?
