i wish to upgrade virtualbox but it says that Conflicts with the installed package 'virtualbox-ose'

Hi everyone

I just installed Windows 7 under Virtualbox GUI Version 3.2.8_OSE r64453 because I wish to sync my iphone via itunes on Windows. However I believe that this version does not allow access to the usb drive and therefore is unable to detect my iphone. I understand that the latest version of virtualbox (downloaded from their website) is able to allow these features. However on downloading it Ubuntu Software Centre gives the message that virtualbox 4.0 'Conflicts with the installed package 'virtualbox-ose'.

So in a nutshell, I wish to upgrade my virtualbox to the latest version. Does this mean that I will have to delete everything and reinstall Windows 7 once again? Can someone please help.
