bug report during software update

Updating the system ubuntu 11.04 on my toshiba laptop reported multiple bugs. I allowed the report to be written and submited. While working I kept getting notice that File Manager was still running and could not get it to close. I subsequently discovered that I lost internet connection in the middle of the update. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Are you doing a regular update of the system or you are doing a release upgrade ?

Please tell are are you connected using wireless or using wired connection ?

Please connect your pc using wired connection

Open a Terminal window (Ctrl+Alt+T) then copy from your Launchpad question link, into terminal the rows below
(copy a row a time, then press enter...) :

sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get install -f
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

Hi,
I think this bug is related to the one I had posted recently : “update-manager” package Bug #852541.

I do regular update without any problem. I just have a a problem with release upgrade.
I have a wired connection.

I had done the commands you mention and get these results :
