Ubiquity not using provided password

Asked by Adam Szewczyk

I'm trying to install skywave linux that is a Focal remix from live-cd. I'm using newest ubiquity from focal repo. The problem is that usermod not working since instead of password I provided in UI it try to use some error string "10 passwd/user-fulname-casper-backup doesn't exist". That string also appears in fullname field but in that place it can be changed. I try to find place where this string come from and how it is passed to db but without success. Only clue I have is that it has something to do with casper.

This is support for Ubuntu only, and not for other operating systems, even if they are "based on Ubuntu".
I assume the dedicated support forum for your system is https://sourceforge.net/p/skywavelinux/discussion/

Yes, but it looks like a bug in ubiquity not a system configuration thing since, it not changing error string it get when trying to obtain defaults from th system to, a password set by UI.

@Bernard: You even refer to the bug in comment #4, why do you then remove the link?

Not applicable. Invalid bug.
I suggest that you install Ubuntu.

Using Etcher:

Install your choice of the many ham radio packages available:

Can you help with this problem?
