my speakers are not working that is when i play a song i am not able to listen to it no sound comes from speakers

How can anyone possiblynreply to this. There is zero information. Even if this was a Windows forum, how can anyone reply? We cannot see your system. All we know is 'sound broken'

We dont know the sound card, the release of Ubuntu, if the system is a laptop or if you are using speakers or HDMI audio...nothing....

Think about it....

If you open a terminal and run:

wget -O alsa-info.sh http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && chmod +x ./alsa-info.sh && ./alsa-info.sh --upload
