Allow Thunderbird to save attachments to NFS mounted server

Asked by Jeroen Baten

Hi,
In my network all users have their workstation connected to a shared NFS server.
I am unable to save attachments due to snap confinements of Thunderbird.
I can only save attachments to an NFS share if it is mounted under /home/$USER.
I can NOT save attachments to an NFS share if it is mounted under /media
How can I fix this?
Regards,
Jeroen Baten

Have you tried https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/access-to-nas-drive/7974/26 (of course with thunderbird instead of libreoffice)
or
snap connect thunderbird:removable-media

I can confirm that:

snap connect thunderbird:removable-media

fixes this issue.
