Phoenix BIOS 3.08 Hard Drive Boot Priority Menu Freezes

My compaq Presario SR1020NX computer's Phoenix AwardBIOS 3.08 Hard Drive Boot Priority menu fails to respond after I highlight one of the listed hard drives. The BIOS simply does nothing when I try to move the selected HD to the top of the list by means of the + key. I've contacted HP's Tech Support and Micro Star International, the motherboard vendor. All the advice they gave me is readily available on the internet, which does not seem to help. By the way, the BIOS seems to work in every other way. My computer currently runs Linux.

Can someone tell me how to contact Phoenix directly by phone or e-mail? Any advice will be much appreciated.

You need a hardware forum. Your issue is nothing to do with Ubuntu as Ubuntu or Grub is not loaded.

Can you help with this problem?
