cannot delete software in synaptic manager

I tried deleting Brasero disc burner as well as other packages in synaptic manager and my error was the following.....
Any help is greatly appreciated.

what exactly are you trying to do?

you cannot delete files from synptic package manager, as it is a list of the files in the software repository.

are you trying to remove it from you menu because you don't use it?
