need java installation for ubuntu 10.04

Asked by Lucille A Sterling

I am new to ubuntu and I need help, When I download java for ubuntu 10.04 it do not work. It says it needs a key of some sort, can some one help me understand how to do it?

1. I went to the java website to get the free download
2. Followed the instructions: Paste and run all that it said
3. Then I get an error message: unable to find java6

It was to load and run
I play pogo which java is required to play the games.
I think ubuntu should have an automatic java script with it to support most games along with flash player

Nothing at all to do with bug #1
