How to install Java on 11.04

Asked by kyle

I have been trying for days now to install Java on 11.04, and I still can't get it to work.

 just want to be able to use in FF (for games, etc).

ANYTHING would be great...

@actionparsnip
Since the partner repository has been available for Natty for quite some time, is there any good reason to use the unofficial (and quite possibly no longer maintained) ppa:ferramroberto/java PPA instead?

Yes, the PPA gets updated more frequently than the partner repo
