Please follow this procedure to install the java plugin:

http://stream-recorder.com/forum/install-java-firefox-3-6-3-ubuntu-t6689.html?s=07547b6e86b58fad66d9940f95f11ba5&

Or run this in your terminal:

sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts

It will ask for you password, put the password in that you log in with then
hit enter. It will do things then it will ask you if you still want to go for it
Y/N
type in Y then enter.
Then when the agreement pops up click F12 then arrow to the left
to say yes and hit enter.
Then when it is done open your web browser and go into tools and
ad-ons and click plug-ins you should see java plug-in.
