Rhythmbox: When Pause is used, It will not play anythng after that. These are wav files

Asked by andrew prudente

It begins to play fine but if I use the Pause button, it stops and then will not start again. If I double click the selection, the pause symbol changes to the play arrow but still no sound or progress bar movement. What do I do?

I installed the mp3 patch to play copyrighted formats, but did not help.

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS,
The files are wav files on a CD

regards
andrew

You can also use Banshee Media Player ( You will find VLC & Banshee in Ubuntu Software Center )
Some times by mere double click you may not open VLC. You will need to select the disc from Media > Open Disc.

Have the same problem as Andrew ie with the pause problem, plus in addition when it starts normally, if I do a next it will go forward and work, this is true if I keep going next, then next again. But if I then do a Back, it will go back but nothing works in the sound department. My version of Box is 2.96. Yes before you ask I have tried the disk in VLC and it works just fine there. This problem is common to discs that I have purchased, and the ones where I have compiled the various tunes to suit my own taste. So I see that there would appear to be an answer to the problem, just can you help me resolve this, I'm using 12.04 LTS

Can you help with this problem?
