copy playlist music to SD card

Asked by davidnielson

I have several large playlists that I would like to copy into HC SD cards so I can play it in my car which uses an HCSD card for an external HDD. I use Rhythmbox in my Ubuntu 12.04 rig and all the songs are in MP3 format. I could copy each individual file into each SD card but each playlist has a couple hundred songs and I have four cards to make, so a simpler process would be preferred. I am not afraid of the command line or a simple script so please shoot me your best suggestions.

UPDATE:
Okay this is not a problem with Rhythmbox but a problem with one of the SD cards. The SD card that I tried was the only one that had a problem. The others had no problem and I could easily drag and drop the songs of the playlists into the SD cards. I returned the malfunctioning SD and got another one that is confirmed to work like the others.

Lesson learned...if you suspect that you should be able to perform something in Linux but can't...check your hardware first!! I feel pretty stupid but maybe this will help someone else that gets a brain fart and forgets to do due diligence before asking idiot questions. :-)
