how to change pidgin username

Not too sure what you mean because pidigin is linked to your email accounts etc but i take it you mean your local alias name when you type in chat.

Click accounts >> manage accounts and then you will have all the email accounts in a window.

Select which one you want and then click modify.

Under local alias you can change it then to what you want.

ive done this multiple times but the name doesnt change from my first name on my hotmail acct using the MSN parts of pidgin
