Hi Nicola,

Do you have a computer that came with Ubuntu on it, and you want to swap it for Windows Vista? If so, you will need to purchase a copy of Windows Vista and install it, or contact the company that you bought the computer from and see if they will install it for you.

I'm not sure what particular aspect of windows live msn you're looking for, and I'm not too familiar with the features of it, but I know you can connect to the MSN instant messaging network with Pidgin or Empathy, and can use any of the web based services (Hotmail, etc.) from Ubuntu without any problems.

Thanks, Tom

to have msn support:

paste the below commands in a terminal

sudo aptitude update
sudo aptitude install libgtk2.0-dev libxml2-dev gettext libnss-dev libnspr-dev pidgin

For gtalk/msn you can use pidgin

Same way select MSN as the protocol for MSN

and enter your config details

those two commands will enable ssl support for MSN
