Recent releases missing

Asked by Pedro Kostelec

Is there any plan to update the repository with new versions (last uploaded is 4.1.4, but 4.2.2 is out)? There is a critical bug in 4.1.4 which does not reduce the counter of open connection as they are closed (this is the fixing commit in 4.1.5 https://git.postgresql.org/gitweb/?p=pgpool2.git;a=commitdiff;h=6d6e4cc3d7ce0cdfcf9b2b6ea3ac5dc04b366aec ).

Manfred Hampl suggests this article as an answer to your question:

Additionally you have to be aware that Ubuntu is copying packages from Debian (to avoid double packaging work), and also Debian has only version 4.1.4 in its repositories.
First step to get an updated version into Ubuntu must therefore be creating a bug report in Debian's bug tracker.

I suggest you report a bug to make this vulnerability known. It may get the package updated sooner rather than later
