Deleted a Document-still on list of recent documents

Deleted a Document in my Home Folder , but the Document is still listed in Recent Documents. There is no content in the Document , but I would like to delete that heading.

Well, I don't believe that that can be done. It's the same case on windows, on word, and pretty much on everything. As far as I know, the best you can do is 'clear recent documents'.

The heading when clicked gives error message , that the document does not exist.
