openoffice document lost

Hello,

after opening and editing an .doc attachment from a thunderbird mail, I've closed openoffice unfortunatelly and pressed "save".

how can I find this document again?

I guess it should be somewhere in /tmp if you didn't reboot - on reboot /tmp is cleared AFAIK.

I have not bootet yet, but It was not there and anywhere. I've searched from / on, but no result.

Therefore I think it's gone.

Try photorec. I think it searches for *.doc files too. Read the man page and back up your data! its part of the testdisk package i think
