Indent in outline jumps at 10.

Hi Michael

Go to Tools > Outline Numbering...

Choose the Position tab. You will see 'Numbering followed by' is set to Tab Stop at <an amount of space>. Simplest is to just increase that spacing. I needed to increase it to 1.01cm to get the effect you need.

You may want to play around with the settings on the Position tab.

Hi Michael

When I tried it out, it certainly did work. There might be reasons why it didn't work for you. I have a fairly recent version of LibreOffice, which may have more features or bug fixes than the OpenOffice.org that you have.

I will email you my test document. Let me know if it looks OK to you. If it doesn't, please tell me what version of OOo you have got and which version of Ubuntu you run it on.

Thank you for your email to tell me that you are still having problems, having looked at the test document that I sent you. May I suggest we keep our dicussions on this question page so that anyone else having the same problem can benefit from it.

If your document still has a problem, can you email me a copy? Of course, if it is private or confidential you won't want to do that. So maybe you could make up a test document like I did, perhaps by copying a pasting the relevant bit of the original and making changes to the text.
