Openoffice.org - Not seeing networks

When I originally installed Open Office with the installation of Ubuntu 7.04 on my desktop and laptop the Open Office.Org 2.2 read my networks (3 machines with ADSL). I obtained Openoffice.Org 2.3 and installed it on both computers. However when trying Opening a document Openoffice.Org would not see my network. I then re-installed Ubuntu's 2.2 from the Add/Remove Applications Menu on both computers and now they both won't see the networks. Where have I gone wrong and how do I overcome this little challenge.

I will appreciate any help/assistance you guys can give me.

What mans .not. see the network... ? You mean that you can't open a document from a remote shared resource...?
Are you using all Ubuntu machines with Samba...?

Hi
The program, Openoffice.org cannot see the network (other 2 computers)
Ubuntu is been used on 2 of the 3 machines

Dave, do you mean that when you click on File/Open... in OpenOffice.org, you do not get the familiar dialog box that allows you to also select network files? What you get is just the system directories instead?

Guys,the problem was an installation issue. I uninstalled the whole of the openoffice.org via the Add/remove on the Applications menu and reinstalled the program with the Synaptic Package Manager. I am a layman when comes to Linux, but am learning slowly.
