How to zip file in file browser

I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 version. In that File browser there is no option for compress the file. Anybody can you pls tell me how to zip the file thr file manager

In the file browser, when you right-click on a file or folder you get the option to "Create compressed archive...".
This option is just below the "Move to Trash" option.

I tried the same after i ask question and i got the answer too ...I did the same as you suggested. Thanks a lot for reply.
