Lost menu at top of screen

Help, I love using Ubuntu but the other day, I did something wrong and I lost the menu at the top of the screen and I also cannot
open Pandora Radio. It says I need plug ins and when I try to install them. It says I still have ptoblems. Thank you Ann.

-To add the menu: right click on an empty zone in the top panel, then choose "add to panel". The menu is in the list, its name is not so obvious, should be something like "menu bar".

-for Pandora, which error messages do you have?

Mine doesn't have anything on top-When I right clip it says Create launcher, Create folder, create
document. I am very stupid about computers and I am so sorry

Don't be sorry. If you can't find it, it's because it's not user friendly.

If you are missing the top panel, I think you should reset it to have again the default one. If you are ok with that, do this:

press CTRL+ALT+T to open a terminal (a new window where you can manually type commands)

type this:
gconftool-2 – -shutdown
then enter.

then this:
gconftool – -recursive-unset /apps/panel
enter again

rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
enter

pkill gnome-panel
enter

that should restore your panels. If not, log off and log in again, and tell us what you get.
