Asked by fragro

When I want to edit a C-file monodevelop starts gedit with this file. So i have no IDE-Features for editing the source.

Thanks for reporting this bug.

Could you please describe the exact steps you take to get this effect and also what you expect should happen?

Thanks!

Make a C or C++ project (wich is not important). Then create and/or open a, with .c ended, file. It will be open in gedit. Cpp files are opened inside monodevelop!

Using Monodevelop 1.0 in Ubuntu Hardy I do not experience this behaviour. I can open up C files no problem.

Try creating a new user on your system and see if the problem is experienced with that user.

Glad you figured out that this isn't a bug. I however am not that knowledgeable of monodevelop to do support. I hope someone in the support section of Launchpad can help you. All the best.
