Is LyX 1.6.2 going to be in Jaunty?

Asked by Chris Jones

LyX has just updated to 1.6.2. There are a number of fairly important fixes in 1.6.2 its seems as 1.6.1 has some major failures. LyX is fairly easy to compile so I can move onto it without it being offically updated in the Jaunty repo. However, it would be nice to be able to stick to the version in apt.

As you can see in http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=jaunty&searchon=names&keywords=lyx the version currently in Jaunty is 1.6.1-1 .

So as of today, it seems that 1.6.1 will be the version included in Jaunty.

However, that could change, since a couple of days ago someone opened a bug report asking for lyx 1.6.2 inclusion in Jaunty:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lyx/+bug/343548

Try following that bug report for news about the final version of lyx in Jaunty
