Why do you want to request backporting the bug into Jammy?

The bug report has been marked as "invalid" for linux (the standard kernel) on Jammy.
See the text "introduced ... after v6.0", so it is not applicable for that kernel version (v5.15).

but the bug is in kernel 6 and above
And from August 2023 ubuntu 22.04 is powered by Linux Kernel 6.2

I understand, you are talking about the hwe kernel.

Such request will probably require creating an additional entry for "linux-hwe-22.04" in the "affected distribution/package" table of the bug report. (Eventually that is already meant by the "HWE Next" entry, still in status "New").

In addition I wonder, why lunar (with version 6.2.0-* for the linux kernel) is not listed either.

I assume that this is something what the developers have to decide.

Maybe adding a comment to the bug report helps.

I am no expert in bug management on Launchpad.
I know that some entries can be created by using the "Also affects distribution/package" link or icon, but certain modifications require membership in some specific developer or bug manager groups.

I think that it is better to start with a comment. I hope, that the developers who are already working on that bug report, will then perform the required changes or additions, if necessary.

Can you help with this problem?
