Will nfs4-acl-tools bei in 8.04?

Asked by Axel Pospischil

No support for ACL's in nfs/cifs mounts.

Major distributions (redhat/suse) seem to support nfs/cifs with acl out of the box - for about 2 years now (2005), right when ACL support came for SMB (see [4] page 133). So the kernel must be mature and the tools exist.

According to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=428512&highlight=nfs%20acl#0.64162506203136 nfs4-acl-tools is not part of ubuntu dapper 6.06.

Will these tools be part of 8.04 LTS?

For detailed explanation of the problem please see Bug #173267 and Question #18907.

This has nothing to do with launchpad. Marking invalid.

This report is not a bug but instead a question - converting.

Thanks for converting this into a question and keeping the list of bug reports clean ;) But lauchpad itself draw me to make a bug report, because the (debian) package "nfs4-acl-tools" does not yet exist in ubuntu.
