Kubuntu 11.10 Desktop Transparent problem

i have using kubuntu 11.10 from last one week on my laptop hp-compaq nx7400
but in it has not give any effect of Desktop Transparent on Terminal.
i have set the option in System setting for desktop but it is not working properly
