scripts set to autorun in system settings open in kate

Asked by Michael Scharrer

i've set several sh scripts to be run on startup/login in fully upgraded karmic. the ones at startup and the first one at login work, but the rest are somehow opened in kate (each in it's own window). i don't know exactly what more information to give here though.

You need to make the scripts executable and ensure that they have an appropriate shebang line.

Please consult the web on how to make a script executable and what an appropriate shebang line looks like. In case you should not find anything, I am converting this bug into a question so maybe some nice people in the launchapd answers section can help you as well.

Thank you for the bug report nonetheless.
Have a nice day.
