Problems with saving/backing up

Asked by John

I just started using kmymoney and I want to save it. When I close it out and reopen it is all there, but when I go to my documents where it is supposed to be saved (a folder ending in .kmy) it is blank upon opening. Is there a certain way/title/place I should be saving this so it is able to be opened? How do I know for sure my info will always be there or how to find it? I'm not very computer saavy and the help button doesn't work. Thanks for any help.

Its supposed to be saved in /home/your_username. There I am sure you
can find the .kmy folder and all the stuff in it.

Just take regular backups of your .kmy folder and store them as
.tar.gz files and that should take care of it for the most part :)

There are lots of Linux users who don't care how the kernel works, but
only want to use it. That is a tribute to how good Linux is.
