Cannot add ledger or bill amount

Asked by Puppet Master

I just started using KMyMoney and I cannot figure out how to add a ledger amount or if that is even what I need to do. Under "Expenses" I have a Bills category with Electricity under it. I am trying to add an amount of how much the Electric bill is but when I double click it, it brings me to the Ledger. Everything is grayed out except delete but when I click delete it gives me an error saying "Unable to delete transion(s): Invalid transaction ID '', thrown in mymoneyseqaccessmgr.cpp:821". So I have all the accounts at 0.00 when I want to change the values but it wont let me. I tried adding a transaction in the toolbar menu and it is all grayed out as well. I cannot reconcile, clear, or non reconcile anything as well.

Please give me some information

You add transactions on the ledger, but you have to create asset accounts first (checking, savings, cash accounts)
That's where you can add transactions.

Can you help with this problem?
