application launcher stop working

Asked by dachey

I have two users on one computer and use kppp to dial out. I have setup 2 specific user accounts in kppp and have used the following application launcher command in all versions 6.06 thru 8.10 with no problem "command kppp -c Autodial" for opera and "command kppp -c Autodial2" for firefox. Have just upgraded to 9.04 and the command will no longer work.

This is the error message:
"Application: KPPP (kppp), signal SIGABRT

Thread 1 (Thread 0xb52c1700 (LWP 7350)):
[KCrash Handler]
#6 0xb777c430 in __kernel_vsyscall ()
#7 0xb5ac96d0 in raise () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#8 0xb5acb098 in abort () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#9 0xb5ac25ce in __assert_fail () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6
#10 0x0807e3f5 in _start ()"

Hopefully there is a way to make this still work.

Thank You

I uninstalled the version of kppp supplied in the software channel for 9.04 and installed the kppp from 8.10 (kppp_3.5.9-0ubuntu1_i386.deb) and it now works. I went into synaptic and locked this version. I would still be interested if this issue is a bug or if the (-c) command has been depreciated.
