ia32-libs package

/usr/lib32 not found in ubuntu 12.04

Hi,

I installed ubuntu version 12.04 ( precise-pidgin), after installing the ubuntu .

I installed the package ia32-libs, but to my surprise the directory /lib32, and /usr/lib32, was not found.

I was see the page ubuntu packages and noticed that the files from the directory / usr/lib32 does not exist in the package for ubuntu precise.

Hi,

I ran the apt-get and then an apt-get install ia32-libs and the response was :

ia32-libs is already the newest version.

dpkg -l ia32-libs
||/ Name Version Description

Observe the The version installed in machine, is to same in the mirror oficial

It's precise pangoling, not precise pigeon.

The release is multiarch, if you want to install a 32bit deb then the package system will install what is needed for you. What are you trying to install ?

#dpkg --add-architecture i386
#apt-get update
#apt-get install ia32-libs

this solve problems whit:
wine
skype
ia32-libs-multiarch
