In new ubuntu we can't use the old drive so you should install hplip.
Try this in terminal
sudo hp-setup

And refer this page
hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/downloads.html
From this page you can know about hplip. Then download , install it.

i try it. it shows,like this in terminal, & i also downloaded from the hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/downloads.html. it download but not opening.

what is the next step.

In a terminal , run
    sudo apt-get install hplip
You will get the latest HP driver present in Ubuntu repository.
If you want the latest from HP (if Ubuntu's one is older), you need to download something names hplip.deb
