Dial-up connection

hey iam using ubuntu 9.04 and installed my modem drivers but couldnt see network under administration menu.there is a network tools thing there but it didnt help me.please solve my problem.iam new.please tell where to find network(connections)in the gui and a way to dial up using the terminal.thanx!
