At end of installation GRUB loder will not install

Installing 12.10 server on a Dell 840 server with two drives configured as raid 1. Installing from burned DVD. At the end of the installation I get "Unable to install GRUB in /DEV/SDk". After reboot the system will not load anything so I cannot manually load GRUB. I am very new to the Ubutun world and would appreciate any help you could provide. Thanks.

You can install grub from the liveCD without any issue. Are you using RAID or UEFI?

Thanks for the response. I finely solved the problem and it was my own fault. I had not set any partition as bootable. Sorry for the false alarm and again thans.
