Partitioning a Cryptic HDD using Ubuntu 12.10

I am currently using Ubuntu 12.10 with latest updates. I downloaded Gparted so that I may partition my HDD because Some programs that I need run off of windows. I've had trouble in the past with WINE so I think making a partition to the HDD and installing a WINDOWS OS is the best solution.

I set up Ubuntu 12.10 when I installed it to encrypt the folders. Now that I want to do a partition I am runing into some problems.
It will not allow me to partition the drive now.

I have /dev/sda1 file system ex2 / boot with 243MiB

I also have dev/sda2 extended with 232.64GiB and /dev/sda5 crypt-luks 232.65GiB. I thought that if I deleted the sda5 my problems would be fixed, but that didn't help. I had to undo that process. Before that I changed the set up and it basically told me I didn't have a HDD installed so I had to re-install HDD, but I accidently set up the encryption again. Is there anyway around this besides a fresh install? I want to partition the drive and have 30gigs for a windows OS.
