gnucash menus missing when started in Oneiric

When gnucash is started from Launcher or Terminal the menus (File, Edit etc.) are missing from the toolbar at the top of the screen.

Workaround is to open a Terminal, pick the running gnucash from the Launcher and the menus appear!

Anyone else seeing this? Configuration problem or bug? If bug, gnucash or unity? I'd be grateful for your thoughts.

Noticed problem on old i386 that I have now replaced with an x86-64 machine. Installed Oneiric on the new server and GnuCash menus work just fine.
