When I run a command, I can't type my password.it remains blank.

I can't install any application. So .I iwas asked to run the command - sudo dpkg --configure -a. Iwas asked to enter my password. However when I type my password, nothing happens. The key board is fine, i'm typing this letter. this is very frustrating since I cannot install anything, Kindly help.

You don't get feedback as you type your password, it is being accepted though. Just type as if it was giving feedback and hit ENTER.

It's normal. Password in terminal window will not displays when you type it.
You should type it correctly and hit Enter after all. If it will not help, write output here.
